The Correlated Assets Sentiment Meter helps you understand whether the assets that usually move with or against your selected stock are behaving as expected.
You’ll find this meter in the Symbol Ecosystem section, just below the correlation graphs.
🧠 What's it telling you?
The meter shows a score from -100 to +100, summarizing how closely your correlated assets are sticking to their usual patterns.
-
+100 → Everything is moving as expected
-
0 → Mixed or Uncorrelated
-
-100 → Most assets are behaving opposite to their usual pattern
You’ll also see a label like "Risk On" or "Risk Off" to quickly gauge the market mood.
⚙️ How does it work?
Here's the logic behind the scenes:
-
We take the Top 20 Positively and Top 20 Negatively Correlated assets for your selected stock (Top 40).
-
Each asset has a sentiment score (ranging from -100 to +100).
-
We weight each sentiment based on how strongly the asset is correlated to your stock.
-
We flip the sentiment for negatively correlated assets (because they’re supposed to move in the opposite direction).
-
All of this is combined into one final score between -100 and +100.
📈 Why it matters
Let’s say you're analyzing the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI):
-
If positively correlated assets are also falling, and negatively correlated assets are rising → ✅ Score will be high (closer to +100).
-
If both groups are moving randomly or opposite of expectations → ⚠️ Score will drop (towards 0 or even -100).
This gives you a real-time pulse check—are correlations holding? Should you trust your setup or be cautious?
